We advocate for stronger environmental protections at the North Carolina General Assembly.

NC League of Conservation Voters knows the most important decisions made on the environment are made by our elected officials. We advocate for stronger environmental protections at the North Carolina General Assembly. We publish a Legislative Scorecard that helps keep you informed about how your decision-makers are voting on critical environmental decisions.

Conservation PAC takes this work to Election Day by making endorsements for legislative candidates and other state offices. We support strong pro-environmental candidates directly, through the media, and through volunteer activities. We also work hard to defeat anti-environmental candidates. By leveraging political funding on behalf of the environment, CPAC will help build the political clout of people and organizations who care about the environment.

Through the joint efforts of NC League of Conservation Voters and Conservation PAC, we work to make sure politicians are protecting our environment, while at the same time, encouraging environmentalists to play a more active role in politics. Through our combined efforts, we push for policy that protects our citizens, our economy, and North Carolina’s environment a political reality.

Conservation PAC actively:

  • Works to hold legislators and other decision-makers accountable for their environmental decisions;
  • Supports candidates for public office who will protect our right to clean air and safe water;
  • Oppose candidates whose policies are destructive to the environment; and
  • Educates voters and candidates or environmental issues to make them a part of the public debate.

We are nonpartisan, and we only target races where our investment can make a difference.
